2015 DENVER DESIGNER SHOW HOME
The Goal: To create a multifunctional master space
The Inspiration: Relaxation and tranquility with a trendy twist
Our Favorite Element: The patterned wallpaper paired with the painted ceiling
This total home overhaul was part of a show home charity benefit, with proceeds from ticket sales going to the Children’s Hospital. The modern architecture of the duplex posed a unique challenge to us, as the master suite featured angular lines that created a cold feel. We began our design by installing textured linen wall coverings to add character to the room, and painted the ceiling a rich navy to create a sense of depth. The use of blue made entirety of the room feel cozier and more relaxing… just as a master bedroom should feel!
We chose to incorporate floral window treatments to compliment the drama of the high ceilings, without making the design unapproachable. When decorating, we utilized feminine prints as well as stronger, sharper design details to create a space that any couple could enjoy together.
Our finishing touches included a small sitting space in the master bedroom, as well as a gorgeous wood desk in lieu of a bedside table, allowing the room to become multifunctional.
